So I decided to pre-download Diablo 3 for the release date.
I actually have no idea why this fixed it, but this was the only thing I did. So sticky to not flood the forums with the same threads.
I went to bed last night almost ready to give up on this, but i figured i'd try again today and see if Blizz fixed the problem, but it was the same as last night.
Here is the fix that finally worked for Graev: Fix #1 Go to Control Panel Properties Change it from ‘Disabled’ to ‘Automatic’ Run your Diablo 3 setup as administrator and it should quickly go through Updating Setup Files and bring you to an install screen.
It also works for the "Updating files..." progress bar error. page=1 TL; DR noob friendly version: This worked for me, I was finally able to log in after 1.5 days of failed attempts. Go to WTF/Find and edit SET gx Api "D3D11" to SET gx Api "D3D9" Start Launcher.
Gamers can also use the app’s game pages to check out the latest Blizzard news, too.
As it happens with any software, the app stops working from time to time due to various issues.
Upon reloading the launcher the "unexpected error" occurs. Did this, made so I had more than enough disk space (50gb on one drive, 750gb on the other), running as admin..
I've spent about 45 minutes and can't even get the launcher to work, if the beta's anything like the setup client maybe I should be glad I can't play it.
Update - Possible fix for 15544 Update Okay, so I couldn't log in after the 15544 Update. If the progress bar is stuck, try it a few more times.
I had to delete folder one more time, then it started downloading. I'd suggest sticky this thread, since I'm pretty sure with 200k more people with AP getting invites, more people are likely to get stuck on the same problem.
Unfortunately, it appears that this update issue is here to stay.
